Michigan now has the highest unemployment numbers than any other state in the U.S. mostly due to the car companies. I visited Cairo back in the mid eighties and loved it but, OMG, that was some of the craziest driving I've ever seen :) I took a cab ride that would scare the daylights out of any New York City cab driver.
